About OpenAI

OpenAI offers its models through the OpenAI API (Responses, Chat Completions, Batch and Image endpoints) and in ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work and Codex. Its current API flagship models are GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol and GPT-6 Luna, with GPT-6 Sol still available as the earlier Sol model; all four accept text and image input and produce text. Image generation and editing are provided by GPT-Image-2.5 Sunburst and GPT-Image-2.5 Flare. OpenAI has also released gpt-oss-120b and gpt-oss-20b as open-weight models under the Apache 2.0 license.
