About Best AI Ever

Best AI Ever is a reference site for comparing AI models. It combines a database of models and providers, list prices taken from official sources, a cost calculator, side-by-side comparisons, use-case rankings with a published formula, and guides that explain the concepts behind the numbers. The aim is simple: help you pick a model for your task and budget based on facts you can check.

What you can do here

• Look up a model. Each page in the model directory shows specs, capabilities, current prices with their verification dates, price history and the sources behind its data. The provider directory groups models by company.
• Compare prices. AI pricing shows list prices per dimension (input, output, cached input, batch and more) and lets you sort and filter them.
• Compare chat app subscriptions. AI subscriptions compares the consumer plans of the ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Mistral Vibe, Perplexity and Copilot apps: prices in US dollars and euros as the providers publish them, included models, usage limits and features, scored within each price range.
• Estimate costs. The AI cost calculator turns your monthly token volume into an estimated cost per model, with optional caching and batch processing.
• Compare models side by side. The compare page puts two to four models next to each other, built from the same structured data as the model pages.
• Check rankings by use case. Pages such as Best AI for coding rank models with visible criteria and weights, a "Ranking as of" date and the data behind every score.
• Learn the concepts. The guides explain token pricing, context windows, reasoning models and other topics that affect your choice.

What we do, and what we don't

We do:

• collect facts and prices from the providers' own pages and link the sources behind them;
• show when each model and each price was last verified, and flag data that is due for a re-check;
• mark gaps as unknown instead of filling them;
• publish the criteria, weights and data behind every ranking.

We don't:

• run benchmark tests of our own, at least so far. Benchmark results come from published sources and are labeled as self-reported by the provider or as third party;
• estimate missing values or convert prices between currencies;
• sell listings, rankings or reviews;
• offer access to AI models. Best AI Ever is an information site; to use a model, go to its provider;
• give legal, financial or purchasing advice. License labels and cost estimates are a starting point; check the provider's terms and pricing page before you commit.

How Best AI Ever is funded

Best AI Ever shows no ads, sells nothing on this site and does not track you. It is operated by Dreher, Weiß GbR, the company behind the PDF publishing platform Viewnamic (see "Who runs Best AI Ever" below); some guides mention Viewnamic where it fits the topic and say that it is our own product. Best AI Ever receives no money from AI providers. We may add advertising later to cover running costs. If we do, rankings will still not be for sale: providers cannot pay to be listed, to rank higher or to change how their models are described, and advertisers will have no say in what we publish. Ads would never appear inside ranking tables or tool controls, and ad scripts would not load before you have made a choice in our consent dialog. The privacy policy explains how we handle data.

How the content is made

Facts come from official provider pages and are checked a second time, independently, before they enter the database. AI tools do much of the research and checking and help draft our texts, but a statement without an official source is not accepted as a fact. Nothing is published automatically: new data arrives as a draft, an editor decides what goes live, and AI-assisted articles need a completed editorial review checklist before they can be published. Rankings follow a published formula, are released as dated snapshots and are flagged for review when the underlying data changes.

Who runs Best AI Ever

Best AI Ever is run by the team behind Viewnamic, a PDF publishing platform from Paderborn, Germany; both are operated by Dreher, Weiß GbR. Viewnamic is not an AI model provider and has no influence on our data or rankings. Where it fits the topic, for example when a guide covers publishing AI-generated content, we mention Viewnamic and say that it is our own product. The operator of Best AI Ever and the contact details are listed on the imprint page.
