Privacy Policy

How Best AI Ever handles personal data: no accounts, no tracking, no ads, only the data a web server needs to deliver its pages.

Best AI Ever is an information website. You cannot register, create an account, upload content or fill in forms here, and we do not use tracking cookies, advertising or third-party content. This policy explains the little personal data that is processed when you visit the site.

Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, in data centres in Germany. We have a data processing agreement with IONOS under Art. 28 GDPR.

When you open a page, your browser automatically sends technical data that the web server records in log files: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the requested page, the referring page, and your browser and operating system. We need this data to deliver the website and to keep it stable and secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating the website securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Our own application also records technical errors and requests for pages that do not exist (the requested address and the referring page, without your IP address), so that we can fix broken links. These records do not identify you and are deleted automatically.

Visitor statistics

To see which pages are read and how visitors find us, we count page views without cookies. When a page loads, your browser sends a short note to our own server with the address of the page and where the visit came from: directly, from another page of this site, a search engine, a social network, an AI assistant or another website. For external sources we keep only the domain name of the referring site (for example google.com), never the full address you came from or your search terms. We store these as daily totals per page.

No cookie or similar identifier is stored on your device for this, and the counts contain no IP address and nothing that identifies you or your device. To prevent abuse, our server uses a one-way hashed form of your IP address to limit how many notes can be sent per minute; this value is not stored with the counts and is deleted automatically within a day. No data is passed to third parties. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding which content is useful and improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cookies and local storage

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

The site offers a "Privacy settings" dialog. If you make a choice there, a cookie named be_consent stores that choice for six months so we do not have to ask again. It contains only your choice and the time you made it. This cookie is strictly necessary for the function you requested (Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG).

The admin area of this website, which only our editors use, sets a session cookie for signing in. Visitors of the public pages do not receive it.

Fonts, scripts and external content

All fonts, scripts and stylesheets are loaded from our own server. No data is sent to font services, content delivery networks or social networks when you visit a page.

This website contains links to other websites, for example to the official pages of AI providers. When you follow such a link, you leave our site, and the privacy policy of the other website applies.

Contacting us by email

If you write to us by email, we use your email address and the content of your message only to answer you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete your message when it has been dealt with, unless we are required by law to keep it.

Possible changes

If we ever add third-party analytics (such as Google Analytics) or advertising, these services will load only after you have agreed in the privacy settings dialog, and we will update this policy before we start using them.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15), to have it corrected (Art. 16) or deleted (Art. 17), to restrict its processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on our legitimate interests (Art. 21). To use these rights, contact us at the email address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.
